HOLY TRINITY CHURCH REFURBISHMENT UPDATE LEAFLET Please pick up your copy of this important leaflet, and also pass a copy to those you know who can’t be at church these next few weeks. Give it thought and prayer, and make a note to come to the open morning on Saturday 10th March.

CONFIRMATION SERVICE TIME CHANGE: Please note, we have been asked by the Dean to change the time of the Confirmation Service on Sunday 11th March to 6 pm. Please make a diary note of this change.

TIME TO ORDER YOUR LENT BOOK. Each year the Archbishop of Canterbury commissions the writing of a book to be read in the season of Lent. This year it is by Ruth Burrows and entitled ‘Love Unknown’, I commend it to you as a book we could read as a congregation. During Lent there will be a couple of informal occasions to discuss the book. If you would like me to get you a copy, please sign up on the list in the Lady Chapel.

TUESDAY FAITH GROUP takes a break between now and the season of Lent.

In our prayers this week we remember: -

- Our Island’s link diocese in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Katanga and Bishop Corneille Kasima Muno.

- Canon Tim Dakin, Consecrated Bishop last Wednesday (prior to his enthronement as Bishop of Winchester in April.)

- British troops serving in Afghanistan, the wounded and bereaved.

- The peoples of Egypt, Libya and Syria. Christian’s in these countries.

- Holocaust Memorial Day (last Friday), those still suffering discrimination and persecution.

- Christians facing persecution in northern Nigeria. The work of the Barnabas Trust with the persecuted church.

- The proprietor and staff of our local shop as they consider its future.

- For those who live in Rue de Cambrai.

- Those who are unwell or in distress at this time. Amongst them, André, Graeme, Jo, Kathy, Natalie, Emily, Fay and Msgr Nicholas. We give thanks for the life of Helier Bertram and Adeline Kennedy. RIP

Prayer for the Week
Almighty God, who alone can bring order to the unruly wills and passions of sinful humanity: give your people grace so to love what you command and to desire what you promise, that among the changes of this world, our hearts may surely there be fixed where true joys are to be found; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.
Amen.
